This policy explains what we do with the information you give us through this website. It applies to this website only. It does not cover what happens when you walk into the shop and buy something, or what a finance company does with an instalment application you sign with them.
What this website collects
The website has one form: the enquiry form. When you send it, we receive:
- Your name and mobile number, which are required, so that we can call you back.
- Your email address, which is optional.
- The product you selected, if you chose one from the list.
- Your message, in your own words.
- The IP address your enquiry was sent from. We record this only to limit how often the same visitor can submit the form, which is what stops the form being used to send spam.
We do not ask for and do not want your Aadhaar number, PAN, bank details or any payment information through this website. There is no cart and no online payment here. If a page ever asks you for those on this site, it is not us.
Why we hold it
To answer your enquiry. That is the whole purpose. We use your number to call or message you back about what you asked, and nothing else.
We do not send marketing messages to numbers collected through this form, we do not add you to any list, and we do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for advertising.
Where it goes
Two places, both ours:
- The enquiry is saved in this website’s own database, visible only to us after logging in.
- A copy is emailed to us at wptaskify@gmail.com so we see it quickly.
Our website hosting provider stores this data on our behalf. Standard server logs kept by the host may also record your IP address and browser, as happens on any website.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as they are useful for serving you, and review them periodically. If you ask us to delete yours, we will.
The IP address used for spam limiting is discarded automatically about a minute after your enquiry is sent.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics or advertising pixels on it.
WordPress, which this site runs on, may set a cookie if you log in to the admin area. That applies to us, not to visitors.
Other services this page touches
- Google Maps is embedded on the contact page so you can find the shop. When that map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy rather than ours.
- WhatsApp links open a chat with us. Anything you send there is handled by WhatsApp under its own terms.
- Google Fonts are loaded for the typefaces on this site.
We do not control these companies. If you would rather not load the map, simply do not scroll to it, or use the address printed on the contact page instead.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you can ask us to:
- tell you what information about you we hold,
- correct anything that is wrong,
- delete it,
- or withdraw your consent, after which we stop using it.
